Suction is taken from a 24.000 L storage tank and returns to the same via overflow return pipework to allow for continuous running of the separator whilst underway. Fuel is also routed through duplex SEPAR filters further assuring of perfectly clean fuel in remote locations.
Two Quick Closing Valves are located on the Day Tank suctions to isolate fuel to the Engine Room in the event of an emergency and can be operated by a lever in the Safety Locker on the Main Deck.
